The whole sky is doing something enormous, and this insect answers it with one small flash. It will do it again in a few seconds. Scale and importance are not the same thing.

This series is printed on 200 gsm matte paper, and that is a deliberate choice rather than a default. The work is built from flat colour and a clean edge rather than from texture — a woven surface would fight it, while a smooth sheet lets the gradient run uninterrupted from horizon to zenith.
