Someone walked here a few minutes ago. The sea is already taking it back, print by print, without malice and without hurry. We leave what we leave, and the water decides how long it stays.

This series is printed on canvas, and that is a deliberate choice rather than a default. The work was conceived as painting — built in thick passages and thin scraped washes — and a woven surface holds that the way a flat sheet cannot. Light catches the weave unevenly, the way it does on a real canvas, so the piece stops reading as a reproduction and starts reading as an object.
